2025 APRS Board of Trustees Active Member Election Candidate

The Austin Police Retirement System (APRS) will be conducting an election for active members of the Board of Trustees, based on the requirements stated in Section 3.03, Article 6243n-1, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes. This year, the active police officer member election will be for two (2) police officer member positions whose term will expire effective 12/31/2029. As in the past, this year's election will be conducted by electronic balloting, and active members should look for communication from an external election vendor, Intelliscan, Inc., so you do not miss instructions on how and when to cast your vote. Voting begins Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. CT and ends Friday, December 5, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. CT. The ballot order of candidates was determined by a random drawing by the Election Committee of the Board of Trustees.

The Proportionate Retirement Program (PRP) allows participating Texas retirement systems to recognize service credit from other participating Texas retirement systems for the purpose of achieving eligibility. A member with service credit in more than one participating retirement system may be eligible to combine that service to satisfy the length of service requirements used to determine eligibility for service retirement.
