Active Member Board Candidates

Pursuant to the Act governing the Austin Police Retirement System (Article 6243n-1, V.T.C.S., as amended effective September 1, 2011), an election is to be held to elect three active police officer members of the Board of Trustees, for a term of four years. In the file below you will find election materials from the candidates running for election. Please note that this year's election will be conducted by phone and electronic balloting. You will be receiving voting instructions and password from VR Election Services within the next few days. Please watch for this communication from VR Election Services so that you do not miss your voting instructions. Using the electronic and/or phone voting system, active police officer members will be able to vote for up to two candidates. The two candidates with the highest number of votes will be elected to the APRS Board of Trustees. Voting will begin on November 20, 2015 and cease two weeks later on December 4, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. If you do not receive a mailing from VR Election Services by November 20, 2015, please contact the Pension Office at (512) 416-7672.
